Adaptively Truncated Hotelling's T

Test
for Functional Data
<Abstract>
We consider the method of adaptively truncated version of Hotelling's T
2
test statistics for tests of equality of the mean functions in the two sample framework with functional data. Combined with a randomization-based procedure for obtaining a null distribution, we show that our proposed method is attractive because of its simplicity and good power. We investigate the numerical simulation results and computational issues in some detail. We also discuss some possible future research directions.
